Mifflin County Head Start Dad’s Day a SuccessOn Saturday, April 1st an enthusiastic group of fathers along with their children participated in “Dad’s Day” at the Lewistown Children’s Center. It was an enjoyable morning with a variety of activities including mulching and yard work, making stepping stones, and potting flowers to take home. The event ended with everyone sharing a meal together. This event is part of the Head Start Fatherhood Initiative promoting the importance of male involvement in the lives of young children.
